June 22, 2007 at 12:40 PMHi amber, You are great. I really respect you. You've beautifully explained how to use 转 in combination with 把 in the above posting. I probably learned that before, but I had forgotten.

June 22, 2007 at 12:12 PMHi robertk, Sorry for the late reply. I'm very happy to hear you are working in my country. I hope you are enjoying the life in Tokyo. Japan welcomes you. I'm sure that you speak Chinese and Japanese. If you speak one more language, Korean, you certainly will be entitled to be called an Perfect-Super-Ultra-East-Asian-American! If I were in Tokyo, I would drink glasses of draft beer with you today. I like Suntory Beer best among Japanese brands, but Chinese beers are very tasty too. I'm a bit short of sandpapers. Send me them, please.

June 22, 2007 at 6:10 AMHi Clarence, I respect your opinion on how to learn Chinese. After reading your postings, I also think I should have input good Chinese as much as possible when I was a beginner a long time ago....... Don't worry about getting bad Chinese infection anymore. After all, it is completely up to you whether you want to read them or not. I write my posts in Chinese for improving MY writing, not for yours or public interests. Someone might say they are public nuisance!!

June 22, 2007 at 4:59 AM先生们有点猜错了。 我绰号的正式汉字 不是长野而是长夜。 长夜就是歌曲名字。 我非常喜欢这首歌。 很多日本人在婚宴 爱唱这首好听的歌。 供你参考这有歌词。 http://www.fukuchan.ac/music/j-folk3/nagaiyoru.html

June 22, 2007 at 2:50 AM中国人买东西的时候 先仔细挑挑然后才买。 讨价还价也是当然的。 交钱后退货很不容易。 在这样环境下我估计 很少有人会一见钟情。 最近高级课越来越难。

June 22, 2007 at 12:36 AMHi Henning, I envy you very much! You were fortunate to have a good time collaborating with Aggie in the project even though that was a correct-mistakes relation.

June 23, 2007 at 4:06 AMToday is My Day! Thanks a lot, Chinesepod. The guy in the dialogue explained some features of Japanese very beautifully. I'll tell you about some other aspects of the language. I am sure that a lot of poddies will start studying Japanese after reading the followings. Firstly, its pronunciation is very easy, though it is not the easiest one in the world. That's why Japanese people usually suffer from poor listening skills when they talk to foreign people. Secondly, its grammar, especially the honorific usage, is quite complicated. But don't worry about that. Fortunately It is not as complex as German, Finnish, Latin and Klingon. Thirdly, I hate to tell you this, but its notation is disastrous at best. You'll see four types of letters in Japanese, hanzi, hiragana, katakana, and even alphabets. Lastly, to make things worse, you can "enjoy" several readings of each Kanji, which are extremely arbitrary. You'll find a lot of personal and place names that even Japanese people cannot read correctly. Welcome To Japanese!
