June 27, 2007 at 3:29 AM以前は、胸を張って「私は教師です」と言える人が少なかった。そんな時代の流行語である「原子爆弾を作るより煮卵を売った方がまし」からも分かるように、当時は科学者や教師など、知識人たちの待遇がおそろしく悪く、こういった職業の稼ぎは路上の煮卵売りにも及ばなかった。しかし、現在では状況が一変し、国家が知識というものを重視するようなったおかげで、教師は一番人気のある職業のひとつに数えられている。当然ながら、先生たちも世間に向かって「私は教師です」と、自信を持って言えるようになったのである。

If I stumble across such a "pleasant" place, I will have my lovely dog stay there in my stead. Such hotels will no doubt welcom dogs. And I will check in at a nearby five-star hotel! p.s. If the five-star hotel also.......

Let me revise my example as follows. .............................................. I don't like MS and its founder. But my OS has always been Windows. I am ambivalent, but I don't care about that. .................................................................. I'm very sorry for my poor English skills and illogicalness, which didn't allow me to properly write what I mean. In short, some Chinese people exhibit ambivalence toward foreign countries, mainly Japan, and some foreign people also exhibit ambivalence toward China........彼此彼此吧!

A lot of foreign people, who perhaps adore democracy, come to this socialist country every year. Some of them live here, study, work and even make money just like me. So I don't think young Chinese people should mind their somewhat contradictory attitudes toward Japan mentioned in your post. To watch ANIME, or not to watch, that is NOT the problem for Chinese youngsters. We're merely clever pragmatists, not Hamlet fortunately.
