That might be simply because there is no official Chinese title for "your mother's cousin". Do you have that in English? As you know, "阿姨" and "叔叔" are very "broadly" used in China.

You are right. Exactly speaking, for example, "堂哥" means "paternal elder male cousins who have the same surname as you".

我同意。尤其是我们老外平时最好少用“难道”这个反问词。多用“难道”会让你显得有些骄傲。
