How to properly use the English word "remember", which means both "记住" and "记得", is more difficult for me, hehe. “记住” indicates "remember" (= pick up, retain), on the other hand, “记得” indicates the state of "having a memory of something".

Actually "上个礼拜/下个礼拜" make sense very much from the standpoint of physics. Time flows in one direction, from past to future, just like a river, where water flows from 上游 (upstream) to 下游 (downstream).

In the dialogue section, "你不是会说中文了吗？" is translated as "Can't you speak Chinese now?"

Speaking in Chinese would just put you at a disadvantage in such cases. I recommend you "quarrel loud" in Danish, which can daunt local guys very much. This is not a joke. When you quarrel in Danish, what you say is not important at all because local people don't understand it anyway.
So just shouting about, for example, "Danish cake recipe" would be OK for you. Furthermore you don't need to listen to what your Chinese "counterparts" are saying. They really speak fast and loud, but actually what they are saying is usually trash and just not worth listening to. Keep shouting! Good luck!

Do you have the heart to drive a car here in China? Just in case, your HSK intermediate-level Chinese would be just useless for quarreling negotiating with local people, hehe.

我看到mdbg说 “旁”是 right hand side of a split Chinese character.
This is correct in Japan, but not anymore in China. The word "偏旁" simply indicates parts of Chinese characters, regardless of position.
