June 5, 2011 at 4:20 AMHmm...the Dragon's Nine Sons weren't mentioned (well I guess the Tāotiè gets to represent the family). I saw giant lanterns of the dragon's sons at Mid-Autumn Festival and my friend told me about them.

青龙 (Qīnglóng) - Green Dragon - East (东) and Spring (春天)
白虎 (Báihǔ) - White Tiger - West (西) and Autumn (秋天)
朱雀 (Zhūquè)- Vermillion Bird - South (南) and Summer (夏天)
玄武 (Xuánwǔ) - Black Tortoise - North (北) and Winter (冬天)
A lot of the internet also seems to call these the 四灵兽 (si4ling2shou4).
