March 3, 2013 at 10:44 PMI'm curious about the background of this Grammar sentence. Who is Zhubajie?
(Since vacation has started you've done nothing but eat and sleep all day. You'll turn into Zhubajie in no time.)

March 3, 2013 at 10:35 PMTwo questions about this expansion sentence:
1. It really sounds like the speaker says "hóu" (水龙头) instead of "tóu". Can someone check this?
2. Translator: what is meant by that first clause, "As soon as I realized,"? Should it be something like "As soon as I woke up"? Or can "jià xǐng" refer to something other than waking up?
Thanks.

February 26, 2013 at 7:51 AMWell, I couldn't see the .chinesepod folder with the device connected as USB, so I removed the SD card and inserted it directly into my Win7 laptop. This was, I was able to view and browse .chinesepod/lessons/. But -- cannot find any files for the Harbin lesson - and no image file even close to 640K. I'm not sure if the folder numbering is the same, but in any case there is no 2889 (I sure wish they would name the folders and files more transparently). I'm guessing that in my case, the image file didn't even make it on to the SD disk, and none of the other lesson files did, either. I browsed all the recent folders, looking at the image files, and none of them belonged to the Harbin lesson. Frustrated. Guess I will open a ticket in their ZenDesk system. It bothers me that no one from tech support seems to monitor these discussions.

February 26, 2013 at 5:24 AMTrying now... so far can't find the .chinesepod folder. Is is directly under the drive root? I'm using Windows Explorer to view the card, under Win 7, with the card connected as an MTP device.
