October 30, 2012 at 4:11 AMPinyin typo in this Grammar sentence?
| 世界杯11号就要开始了 |
| Shìjièbēi shī yī hào jiù yào kāishǐ le。 |
Should be shí yī instead of shī yī, right?

October 30, 2012 at 4:07 AMTranslation typo in this Expansion sentence?
| 你用MSN发给我吧。我邮箱打不开。 |
| nǐ yòng MSN fā gěi wǒ ba。 wǒ yóuxiāng dǎbukāi。 |
|
How about I use MSN to send it to you? My mailbox won't open. |
Seems that "you" and "I" are switched, right?

October 14, 2012 at 11:30 PMThe sound level of the dialog MP3 is fine, but the individual sentences are too low - same for the expansion sentences. Grammar sentences are better.

October 14, 2012 at 7:00 PMTypo?
This dialog sentence is labeled as being spoken by speaker B:
这个抹茶慕斯也不错,不甜不腻,很适合夏天吃。
(This matcha tea mousse cake is also excellent. It's not sweet or oily. It's really great to eat during the summertime.)
It actually makes more sense that speaker C would say it, and I think that's they way it is recorded.

October 11, 2012 at 2:26 AMOn the Android app, is anyone able to play the lesson all the way to the end?
I find that the lesson file cuts off at 11'17", i.e. about a minute before the end.

October 3, 2012 at 4:31 AMThis lesson is so timely! Saturday I was in a bakery in Chinatown, studying the labels on the yummy-looking wares and just wishing I had more vocabulary to talk about them. And then the next day this lesson was posted. Thanks for reading my mind, CP!

September 29, 2012 at 2:52 PMTwo more typos in the PDF:
1.
késou hài de hěn yánzhòng。
The second ke2 is transcribed hai4 in the pinyin.
2.
而且常常就是和感情有关的时候。
érqiě chángcháng jiùshì hé feelings yǒuguān de shíhou
Note that the English word "feelings" appears in the midst of the pinyin.

美国有很多人喜欢把蛇放在脖子上面。
I haven't seen that lately, but this morning I did see a woman with a parrot on her shoulder.
How about a Qing Wen on different ways to carry or accompany animals?
"parrot on her shoulder"
"dog on a leash"
"cat in a carrier"
"rabbit in her lap"
"leading a horse", etc.
You could include some uninvited critters, such as
"a fly landed on his nose"
"an ant running up his shoe"
"a spider dropped onto her head", etc.

September 12, 2012 at 5:16 PMQuestion for translator: 项链 seems to be missing from the English. Or is it somehow implied?
有些女孩子她穿的衣服已经很花了,但是她戴很大的耳环项链,那样就也会画蛇添足。

October 30, 2012 at 4:15 AMMinor translation glitch in this Expansion sentence:
他养了好多宠物,有两条狗,一只猫,还有一只乌龟。
有两条狗
is translated as "He's got a dog" rather than "He has two dogs".
