John and Jenny are great. They can even save the dullest most dead and wooden dialogue...

Please, more of the slice-of-life dialogues with that little extra something!

Definitely one of the easier newbies. I liked it, but at 7 minutes it's a tad short don't you think?

I remember people teasing a 5-year-old boy by saying that "Lao Popo" was coming. He'd completely freak. I don't know if that's a common way to terrorize a little kid or if they just made it up locally.

It's always fun to guess John's second translation... this time though, for the last sentence, I was expecting something else than "nuisance"... ;-)

I was just going to write the same thing:

他还没到 ≠ I haven't arrived yet.

Is it okay to say wǒmen nàr (acc to the pattern of wǒmen zhèr) if you're talking about where you live, but at the time of speaking you're somewhere else?

Hi, great lesson!

Could you ask the guy who recorded the audio review to enunciate more clearly? "I bought", for example, gets reduced to a kind of slurred "abut". There's no need to sound conversational by reducing vowel values and doing bunch of consonant sandhis (like didja for "did you") on what is basically a prompt in an exercise. It's annoying and sometimes hard to understand. Crisp and clear please. Just my 2cents, thanks.

I love how the expansion sentences include grammar patterns like 要......了 and 不是......吗. CP just keeps getting better and better. It's like more structure and knowledge is being packed into the same old format.

[Edit: Question deleted. I scrolled too fast and didn't see that my question was answered. Thanks for the great help about 个!]

A new question: if an error is found in the expansion section, can you also fix the corresponding part of the audio review?
