November 5, 2010 at 7:25 AMYes, recently I presented a power point presentation of the women's US Olympic Water Polo Team taking off their swimsuits for a photo on the cover of some ESPN magazine, just for publicity of course...Well, I am sort of a proud American, but the utter idiotic and crazy motive behind this type of story left me no choice but to offer some kind of opportunity to reveal the zany happenings in our western culture to my Chinese students. I did hear comments in my class of 'ham sap lou' which is Cantonese for 'perverts', but hey, it is becoming the truth underlying our decaying culture. The news event was rather boring, but I had been criticized for showing the movie 'Chariots of Fire', the academy award winning classic from the early eighties, as not being representative of current American culture, so why not throw them some athletic prostitutes and see how they stomach it? Of course, the brain dead, need money at all costs, forehead tatoo'ing devoted talk show listener even trumps our self defacing women's polo team. It's my turn for a link: http://www.bloomberg.com/video/63684408/ And what even steals the cake even more than the women's team and even your story is the out of control printing of fake money by America's illustrious Federal Reserve (see links within the link). Course, the Fed is not only destroying America's money, but China's as well, ...which is another story. Buy anyhu...thanks for your link, article! It will go to good use.

This story on National Day cracked me up, our Chinese elementary school in Longjiang, Foshan had us working the weekends too. I'd rather not have had the days off, as the whole holiday schedule adjustments threw off the routine for quite a while.
