Hi I extended my subscription for one year and I do not see how to use the 6 month gift of CPod.

I want to give it to a Chinese friend to explore English Pod.  No mention of how to do this after I extended.

BTW, I have been telling everyone I know to try out English Pod.  I think it will be a huge "hit" for Praxis Language.

"Upon subscription, you will receive access to your lesson pack via email. We will contact you with your gift e-voucher separately."  Sorry, I just noticed this comment online.

I agree that the more natural speed of the language is good at this level.  I need to understand Mandarin as it is spoken, so this is very good.  Also, I think the voice actors will use a more accurate pronunciation when spoken at normal speed.  I have noticed when a word is spoken slowly, the pronounciation tends to change slightly.  At least it seems that way to me.

Keep up the great lessons.

Great lesson.  I love Qing Wen!

Pete..."man of mystery"  haha..I loved that.

Just when I learn that 让一下 means move out of the way, I find that it also has other uses.  Chinese is fabulous this way.  I love how efficient Chinese is, even if I am far from understanding the language.

Thanks to CPod and the Qing Wen group for another great lesson.

I had to que up in a very long line when visiting the National Art Museum in Peoples Square, Shanghai.  It was about 100 degrees outside and it took about 45 min. to get into the museum.  The line was very orderly and I did not see any cutting taking place.

People do stand very close together in line. This worked to my advantage as I was able to get some shade from the umbrella in front of me.

However, once inside, it was very common for someone to push in front of me if I was looking at some artwork.  It would be as if I was not standing there at all.

Great lesson.

Chinese Pod would not be the same without Ken.

He brings life and energy to the program.  Personally, I like that he is not 'perfect' in speaking Mandarin.  It is a way to compare how I pronounce Mandarin, how Jenny pronounces Mandarin, and Ken pronounces Mandarin.  I have many friends in China, and I hear many ways to pronounce the language.  Listening to Jenny, Pete, Connie, and Ken, you hear a variety of pronunciations from native speakers to non native speakers.  Also the dialogs are native speakers so you also can focus on the dialog..not on Ken's limitations.

Also, I do not understand why this person is expending the energy to denounce something with such passion.  Something is not quite right about his comments....

Ken..keep up the good work.  I tell all my friends about Chinese Pod, and now English Pod.

Thanks

Obama will allow the USA to rejoin the world in a meaningful way.  I was very happy for his victory.  I can not wait to say goodbye to the current president.

We can all celebrate the arrival of contemplative thought and dialog inside the White House.

Not cowboy actions.

excellent lesson.

However, I learned mamahuhu from a shanghai friend when I was there.  Not a book.  So, I have heard it in actual use one time.

Thanks CPod

I am also confused.  Is this supposed to be wan or wanr?  I think wanr is the proper word, dui a?
