At the start of dear Amber, Connie always says "大家好,我是Connie。 She does not use the measure word 位。In this dialoge, they say 这位是张总 using the measure word.
Is this only for formal meetings? Can you say this is mangager Li without using the wei?

October 11, 2008 at 3:42 PMcan someone break down the sentance "Bei lang chi diao le? How does diao 掉 work in this sentance? My dictionary tells me 掉 is to fall or to drop. And Bei 被 is passive voice.
I need Ken to break it down from the top. ^^

I need to listen several more times. I almost understand.
I am practicing with IME. I can type "dian" but, can not figure out how to get "dianr".
Also, why in the introduction does it say chàyīdiǎnr but in your transcription Connie, it is chadianr?
