This was fantastic!  I enjoyed listening, and being able to follow along with the lyrics, and hearing you guys dissect each song afterwards. Awesome.

哦,你写“奥巴马”用繁体字,但是别的单词全部是简体字,我好奇,麻烦你解释一下?

在我的大家庭之间,其中有十几个没有健康保险,我们都算是不太有钱的,但是实际上,他们不买保险是因为他们宁愿买什么别的东西,他们愿意冒险。他们知道,如果他们真的出问题,别人和政府会来帮他们,所以他们不愿意自己负责任。

恐怕我不应该在这里继续说政治,如果要再说的话,我会在"discussion groups"开线!用中文考虑政府的政策很有意思,我今天已学到一些没学过的生词!

谢谢你的邀请,听说过澳洲的好名声,只担心去那里,听不懂你们的语言! (tongue-in-cheek, of course!)

我的很多中国学生(他们向我学过英文)去澳洲住。他们都比较喜欢澳洲,认为澳洲比美国好,因为离中国近一点儿。

我希望有一天可以去一次旅行!

Right, hiewhongliang. There's some saying about being required to look like a fool at least ten times a day or risk not making progress when learning a new language. And, as bababardwan and chracol point out, I can now watch shows with silly romantic plots or contestants vying to date a handsome guy and pat myself on the back for my studious, productive use of time. :)

你完全对,我是美国人,我国家的医疗保健体系出了大问题。我以考录这个问题就头疼了,恐怕谁都不能解决这个问题!国家的钱不够免费赐给每个人完全的健康保险。如果政府不让谁都买保险的话,有的老百姓永远会宁愿不买,他们生病了怎么办呢?!

(我有点儿担心这样讨论政治,但是,很想趁这个机会来用中文表达想法,练习词汇,太好完儿了,若有不妥之处,请原谅。)

Thanks tingyun, I'm considering buying the fourth year coursebooks; I need something new to study this coming semester and I've become very interested in the differences between written and spoken Chinese.

I found them available at Amazon.com, which is very convenient.
