Since lots of people will probably read your post, I just want to throw out a suggestion. You can buy food from a nearby store and give it to the children instead of money. It's probably necessary though, if you do this, to stick around and watch them eat it, and you may even need to verbalize that you'd like to see them eat it, or they may be forced by their handler to hand the food over. I had to convince a handler to give back the Mc Donald hamburgers I'd seen her take from the 4 children I'd just given them to, then I stood around and chatted with her until I saw they'd completely downed them. I was really angry at her for her treatment of the children, but I made the necessary conversation until the famished kids finished eating. .
