May 13, 2013 at 2:46 AMI'm an engineer and I also encounter the "geek" stereotype and people being really impressed by it. In fact I work in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, and I believe there is a phrase “张江男” which refers to geeks who specifically live and work in this area.
