As mentioned in the lesson, 阐述 means to explain or elaborate on something, usually requires more details and is more formal than 陈述, which means “to state”. Thanks for your question!

Good point! But the meanings of 红火 and 火红 are different in Chinese. 红火 means “hot”, or popular; but 火红 literally means the color red, as red as fire. Thanks for the question!

In the dialogue, the correct pronunciation of 倒 was used. And the pinyin in the dialogue also shows only 1, not either or pronunciations.

Throughout the lesson, the hosts also pronounced the correct 倒 and when to use.

The vocabulary section was the only one at the beginning where we combined the two. We’ve since shown dǎo and dào separately.
