xie4xie nim3men2de gu3li4 (is that right?).  It's about time a spent some time studying the characters more.  I know about 100+ of them.

And yes, as my governor says, "I'll be back", to C-Pod.

My C-Pod subscription runs out next week.  I have been unemployed for 4 months now with no hope in sight.  Cannot afford another subscrition at this time.

Wasn't there a song called "yàome be there" in the 80's?

Haha!  Fun with Mandarin.

In Thai "555" means ha ha ha.  They sounds the same.

Many Chinese-speaking Thai folks can use "ba1" to mean crazy, because it does.

And for those tri-lingual folks of Thai, Chinese, and English, they can say, "You must be 9", pronounced gao1 and of course meaning high.

No, I don't get 9 and have never used this.

Hi, Amber.

I left only a handful of comments during my almost 2 years listening now. But I've heard nearly every lesson and DA.

It's very common for an expat to experience reverse culture shock upon returning, worse than the original culture shock when you left. I really hope this doesn't happen to you. Please tell us how it goes.
