I wonder if I can say something like: 你必须挨饿!

In the sense of 'you must be starving' (and so should sit and eat)

Or, you must be crazy...etc.

There is a fancy name for that type of modal verb (epistemic) but just wondering.

Ok. If I go to my new dashboard the newest lesson I see is from a few days ago. (Piano class)

Funn thing, if I drill down to say 'elementary' I see this and also future lessons. See my post on Mother's day lesson.

Speaking of that 'Nobody' song, anyone see the 'official' vid? The first part of this is a hoot actually.

ight487 wonders...

Soo.. you eat them raw?? Is that hygenic?

Raw? Yes. Safe? Not really.

And don't try to compare to sushi..you don't eat raw fish guts when consuming sushi (not good sushi) :-)

Plus these are usually freshwater shrimp but I suppose I eat the guts of raw oysters! haha

车龄很多年了,买它!! If it is still running it is definitely NOT a lemon. ;-)

Actaully, a lemon is some car that never really was quite right from the time it was made. From the factory so to speak.

So, if it is old and still running, my theory is that all the bugs are now worked out. LOL.

Course, my 'new' car had 120,000 miles on it when I bought it so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Of all the money e'er I had,
I spent it in good company.
And all the harm I've ever done,
Alas! it was to none but me.
And all I've done for want of wit
To mem'ry now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be with you all

Oh, all the comrades e'er I had,
They're sorry for my going away,
And all the sweethearts e'er I had,
They'd wish me one more day to stay,
But since it falls unto my lot,
That I should go and you should not,
I gently rise and softly call,
Good night and joy be with you all.

If I had money enough to spend,
And leisure time to sit awhile,
There is a fair maid in this town,
That sorely has my heart beguiled.
Her rosy cheeks and ruby lips,
I own she has my heart in thrall,
Then fill to me the parting glass,
Good night and joy be with you all.

Just got back from Shanghai (damn jet lag! should be sleeping still) and we took a 4 day CTRIP tour from Shanghai to Beijing.

They do a good job but I cannot comment on whether they have English speaking guides or if that would raise the cost a lot.

But they avoided the temples (thank you) and no shopping market scam stops! Finally got to see the wall. Wow, is it steep.

Wow. Quite a reaction.

I just want to say that I don't think Westerners as a group are any more squeamish than Chinese. My girlfriend visited America recently and was happy to eat some venison but not at all interested in seeing my pictures of me with the actual corpse.

But, I found a great way to deal with offenses web pages...don't look at them. Works great! :-)
