I'm glad to hear you will still be around Pete. Although we won't be hearing anymore new poems at least we will still have your invaluable wisdom in the translations and discussion boards.

Thanks for this lesson!

I heard that in Shanghai, a house is not enough. A woman also wants a man who owns a car as well (in a crowded metropolis where it's impractical for every person to have a car). Anyway maybe this is just a requirement for those very well off women?

In 福建 and the surrounding areas, the word for "tea" sounds more like "tea" in English instead of "cha" in Mandarin. I was told this is where the English word for tea came from.

That's true! I always find little aphid-like bugs in chrysanthemum tea - it's expected.

As for 乌龙茶, it can't be as bitter as 苦丁茶.

Yes! I am actually thinking of buying a house in China some day in the near future. That lesson would come in handy.

maybe 老王的老婆 should get out there and make some money too. It's normal not to find something for a few months after being laid-off. That's what unemployment benefits are for :)

Thanks Pete, I'm also sure you noticed I decided to change the 囧 to a smiley face instead of the:囧

I guess 老王 turned to a life of crime after his lay-off.

Sadly, siblings fighting for their parent's assets is a problem in China and probably in many parts of the world. I like the fact that ChinesePod creates lessons based on these issues which are much more useful than the Chinese college textbook lessons.
