QUICK tell us what that music is behind the dialogue. I already downloaded it...but can you introduce the music to everyone. EVERYONE WILL LOVE THE MUSIC if you tell us how to get it!

Nice job again Amber... really like your shows.

Interesting differences between the two, shikumen and hutong... although they are completely different... they are some of the first things that we foreigners can talk about when we come to China.

go to the old area of Shanghai to see some old buildings and shikumens. You have to look hard though because it's easy to miss them. Shikumen are just stone entry ways into courtyards right? Hutongs are actual big windy places...but shikumens are just the doorways... stone style. so easy to miss. The area is called cheng huang miao, 城隍庙 right? I'm pretty sure. It's the Town god temple... in English.

The second half of the show?! Great ad for Concordia. Good luck to the student. Interview her in a couple years... so what she becomes!

Great lesson. Really useful. Can you guys check these??

1. 我的中文没有我太太好。

My Chinese is not as good as my wife's.

2. 她的英文没有我好。

Her English is not as good as mine.

3. 我的法文没有她好，但是我们常常听ＦＲＥＮＣＨＰＯＤ。

My French is not as good as hers, but we often listen to FRENCH POD.

４.　我的漫画技能没有CHARLES　ＳＣＨＵＬＺ好。

My cartoon ability is not as good as Charles Schulz. (SNOOPY.)

５.　我写汉字没有太太那么漂亮和标准！

My Chinese words are not as pretty or standard as my wife's.

Your expansions add so much to the lessons... I have just one question on one of them...

This one...

我们约好五点钟见面的，他七点才来。

when we had the qing wen program with 是...的 the other weekend... I wonder if this is similar... could you write the sentence as,

我们是约好五点钟见面的，他七点才来。

but you don't need the SHI here?? is that right or am i WAAAAY off...?

Can you guys check these to tell me if they are correct or not?

1. chinesepod是什么时候开始的？

Chinesepod是2005年开始的。

2. 你是什么时候结婚的？

我是2006年结婚的。

3. 你是什么时候找到chinesepod的?

我是2006年找到的。

4. 你是什么时候来到上海的？

我2004年来到上海的。

also a couple quesitons

You guys said that 这个裙子是什么时候买的？ would be when did you buy those pants? but what about 这个裙子什么时候买？ would be what? When do you buy pants? So without the 是...的 pattern it changes the meaning of the sentence right?
