I'm glad to have amused Vera, and contributed to a Qing Wen.

I suspect teriyaki beef is an American adaptation of Japanese food. Anyways, beef is very expensive in Japan. The economy traveler will go for some slish over soba noodles, instead.

My introduction to PF Chang's was an appetizer of cream cheese filled fried wantons. With that introduction I was sure that authenticity wasn't part of the business plan. The fake terracotta warriors are cute, though.

I wonder if the orange sauce glows when the lights are out.

As far as I can tell, there is one UI lesson per week. They only bunch up when one near the beginning of a week follows one near the end of a week. I'm still pining for the days when there was one Advanced or Media lesson per week. So, I'd like to encourage you to buckle down so that you can breeze through the UIs and start grousing about lack of content to conquer.

I think this lesson is more difficult than this week's advanced lesson, because the speach is unscripted and some of the utterances are quite round about, even ungrammatical, the text of the dialog is also longer and the amount of new to me vocabulary is about the same. I probably need practice with the average person's word salad utterances, and this lesson is one of the few where they haven't been polished out.

BTW are "ok" and "yes or no" professional speech that are impractical to translate into Chinese? (like "qualified lead")

With Hostess gone, I will kind of miss Columbo bread. The world of San Francisco sourdough won't be quite the same. Although, when I was a kid I did discover that I could wad up the insides of a whole loaf of Wonder bread into a two inch ball; all air and very little substance.

I get news off the Internet. It seems to be adaquit to catch the major events of the day. I also use Netflix and DVDs occasionally, but it is hard to find the time for a full length movie let alone a ten hour series.
