May 22, 2009 at 7:43 AM@Raygo Funny. I had our chief sound engineer analyse the sound levels and deemed it fine. It would be helpful if you could give me specific time examples (eg. approx 1m30s) that we could refer to in order to better analyse the problem. Thanks.
I'd also like to know if anyone else found voice fluctuations different to previous classes in this podcast. Thanks.

May 22, 2009 at 3:57 AM@Raygo This one was mixed by David, we rechecked it and it's fine. It's possible that in some instances John's mouth was either a little further away from the mic, or that Jenny's voice was louder thus John's sounded lower in volume. I hope that this isn't a big inconvenience for you. Would turning up the volume help at all? :-) Let me know how you go.

May 22, 2009 at 1:52 AMHe's only been out of a job for a couple of months, she should give the poor guy a break. With this kind of home environment he may be driven to extreme measures in order to make a 'kuai' and placate his wife...

May 21, 2009 at 11:44 AM@hotpot2000 I think the most important items to have as a newborn are loving, caring, but stable parents.
I could elaborate but not being a parent myself I don't feel qualified to.
The world needs intelligent, caring, forward-thinking individuals.

May 21, 2009 at 11:36 AM@bodawei I've seen the method you described more times than I can count, but have never actually bought the popcorn. I guess I should give it a go one day.
When I lived in Switzerland at the age of 11, we used to go to a skater cafe in Oberville that served popcorn with sugar - mmm tasty!
Guess I could always take some sugar with me in a pouch and sprinkle it over the medieval popcorn...

May 21, 2009 at 4:02 AM@Bababardwan Hey man, you mean like in Crocodile Dundee Two when Mick Dundee is fishing with dynamite in the harbour?

May 21, 2009 at 2:21 AMIt was 坏 huài but that is now, of course, a moot point.
If you heard an explosion, would you investigate it yourself, or get your partner to check it out, or just sit there and wait for the aliens to break down your door?
Being a reformed fire-bug (no I have never started any serious fires) I'd be out there checking out the blast site.
What do you think the explosion was?

May 22, 2009 at 11:56 AM@raygo I take quality very seriously so if there is a problem, I want to fix it. Thanks for your input, it's something I'll be keeping an eye on.
Take care mate. :D
