April 8, 2009 at 7:28 AM@sushan Athough I can't really condone the pilfering of anything as such, I'm sure you'll see a trick or two.
@bababardwan hehe, the chef your saw in the preview makes 'Big Bear' look like like...well... a cuddly teddy bear. lol

April 7, 2009 at 10:59 AM@missmountain I just ran some tests with embedding user created lesson sets into posts etc and there's a bug. That bug will be fixed soon.
When it's fixed I'll write a post about it, with the instructions. :-) If you have any more questions feel free to PM me.

April 7, 2009 at 7:27 AM@xuchen Yes! I've got to add that to my Canton Fair Survival Guide (I'll give you props.)
@Philren Good question, due to the frequent interchangeability of verbs and nouns etc. in Chinese, we choose to avoid this confusion by instead focusing on the contextual use of words. Although, occasionally in a Podcast you'll hear the hosts talking about the word functions.

April 7, 2009 at 7:11 AM@missmountain This embed code is provided so that you can embed your own lesson sets and of course the stock lesson sets into your webiste or ChinesePod if you so choose. :)

April 7, 2009 at 4:10 AMThere is a distinct difference between 'cheap' and 'inexpensive'. For cheap things you really do get what you pay for. I've negotiated prices with many manufactures/suppliers, and you can certainly haggle the price down with larger order quantities and promises of long term cooperation. But in the end if the price is too low then the supplier will cut corners and use inferior materials.

April 7, 2009 at 3:41 AM@Paulinurus I was thinking the same thing, tough for the kid.
With regards to your question, we actually have conducted research with our users about whether or not they'd prefer the levels to be published in order of Newbie to Advanced (Monday - Friday), or to be published in a random order. The majority of respondents preferred a random format, thus enhancing feelings of anticipation and surprise.
We will conduct more research on this in the not too distant future, as these dynamics are in a constant state of flux.
