I'm really glad to have learned how to peel skin.

Thanks to Jinxin, Gucheng, Zhangfeng, Connie, matt_c (spew sound), and Joy for their efforts.

@xuchen - I know what you are saying there. When I go out, my wife often gets me to put her things in my bag, or if I have a coat with decent pockets I have to cary her over-stuffed purse-like-pouch-thingy in my pockets, totally ruining my coolness with bulges in the wrong places! Lol.

@Josht77 Is that out at 金鸡湖 ?  I feel so sorry for those who are forced there by their mothers. And what if it's the mothers who meet? I'm sure there are mothers/fathers who go there with their (adult)children's photos looking for prospectives and negotiating on their behalf. Wow!

I myself am looking forward to being able to export my vocab sets to a flashcard system that uses SRS. Soon my friends, soon...

Dear all, thanks for you criticism, some of it very constructive.

We try to have QW aim at the elementary level so that is is accessible to our majority of users (new/ele making up the biggest slice of poddies). Occasionally the content will be a little easier, sometimes a little harder, but we try to keep a lid on how much it does drift.

This particular lesson was conceived as being easier and lower on grammatical content. Rest assured that there will be lessons that touch the more difficult elementary range in the ensuing weeks.

We will do our best to promote variety, and hope that you, our esteemed poddies, will be as optimistic about this as we are.

@Calkins @ Reigao  These tools you mention are excellent, and I'm pleased to let you know that we are currently working on adding export functionality from the vocab manager to Anki and PlecoDict. It will be ready soon.

@xuchen  keep guessing.

@reigao The Android is an open source operating system for mobile phones that has been developed by Google and the Open Handset Alliance. The first generation Android phone was manufactured by T-Mobile.The 2nd generation of Androids will soon be released with quite a few big name manufacturers releasing G2 handsets.

------------

Android was built from the ground-up to enable developers to create compelling mobile applications that take full advantage of all a handset has to offer. It was built to be truly open. For example, an application can call upon any of the phone's core functionality such as making calls, sending text messages, or using the camera, allowing developers to create richer and more cohesive experiences for users.

-----------

The Android Market (their online apps market) has less restrictions than the itunes store, hence greater potential for a larger variety of applications being available in the future.

For the benefit of our ele and newbie users I have adhered to our comments policy on behalf of the illustrious xuchen and translated his wonderfully toned and informative addition to our discussion :D

我曾经在内蒙古呼和浩特(HoHot)骑马了。 草原确实很漂亮,很宽,那儿只有草,马,屎,还有一种虫子喜欢把屎转成小小的屎球。很好玩儿。

I once rode a horse in Hohot. The grasslands are as expansive as they are beautiful. As far as the eye can see only grass, horses and manure inhabit this otherworldy landscape. Well...manure and those funny little beetles that roll the turds up into balls. (Dung Beetles I believe)

Have yet to eat Mongolian. I'm with John on fermented mare's milk sounding weird, but I would try it if I had the chance. Most importantly, do they use chilli in their cooking? I'm a little biased because if there isn't at least one super spicy dish on the table then I have trouble enjoying my meal.

Who prefers mutton and who prefers lamb? Does it depend on the cooking style and dish as to which one you prefer?

Mongolian throat singing is great. Some call it Tuvan throat singing. Great movie called Ghengis Blues:
