When my son was 10, I made the mistake of buying him a fish tank and tropical fish, on the understanding that he would clean the tank out, and feed them.

Sadly it was I that had to do so - so well in fact that the fish lived for many many years.  It sadly became a real chore ...

Actually I suppose this is an all too common tale of buying pets - there is a slogan for example something like 'a dog is not just for Christmas'.

I have a question about 趟 which appears as a measure word in the dialogue.  It is given as first tone, but should it be fourth tone in this usage?

Hi Doc - Are you payed by Chinesepod by any chance? - Just kidding.

You may like the level but it is not upper intermediate and the vocabulary is very very basic.

In addition to the low level of vocab, it is actually missing the words for the two types of fish. It also erroneously says that 得 dei3 is 'to get'.

Surely much of the vocabulary given is below upper intermediate level, some of it is beginner/elementary.

打算, 才. 可是. 比较. 适合, 陪. 还是. 可怜

Actually some dictionaries give function key as 功能键. 组合键 seems to mean a key combination.

The pdf vocab has the pinyin for 称职 cheng1zhi2。 The pinyin for the dialogue has cheng4zhi2, whereas my dictionaries have it as chèn zhí. I haven't yet listened to the lesson ...
