Thanks for the excellent explanation of the "Ï miss you" phrase. This is a very good example of the subtleness in the difference in meaning of many Chinese words, which we don't see so much in English. 

I don't have any more queries because the explanation is so good.

Which one is correct? 他变聪明 or 他变得聪明? Does "得" really needs to come after the "变"?

What about 天气开始变得温暖起来? Can we remove the 得 after 变 so that it becomes 天气开始变温暖起来?

Actually the video recording is well done. It is a good idea. It makes learning Chinese more interesting.

This is another very good lesson. Thanks for the explanation. Before this I didn't really understand the differences between these three words. 

I hope that Chinesepod will continue producing new lessons on Chinese grammar. Compared with other Chinese learning websites / programs, I find that Chinesepod has the best grammar lessons. Qingwen is one of the strong points of Chinesepod.

Actually, Chinese grammar per se is not difficult. But, for people who are used to speaking English, Chinese grammar IS difficult because Chinese grammar is very different from English grammar.

Thanks for this good lesson. There are so many words for "life"in mandarin. What about 日子?

Even though this is a belated lesson, I have to thank Jenny, David and Ryan for the fantastic lesson on the differences in the two words on "practise". Finally I understand the differences between these words. For non-native speakers, learning the subtle differences between many Chinese words is really challenging.

The wonderful thing about Qingwen is that it explains a lot of things that we cant find in dictionaries - which is one of the good reasons for the existence of Chinesepod..

Jenny is certainly an asset for Chinesepod that we can't afford to lose (somehow I have always missed John, Ken and Connie).
