I should have known. Symantec puts their consumer related security stuff under the Norton brand.

I'm not a security guy. But the easy security things I can do are intelligent searches and so on. It appears that as a site, Sina Weibo is ok. if you believe Trend Micro. I would have thought Symantec or Kaspersky would have had lists of Malicious websites, but apparently they don't.

I wouldn't use QQ under any circumstances.

Baba, I'm not sure how computer savvy you are, so I'll start from the basics. Use anti-virus. Do not allow applications that do not identify themselves to you to make changes to your computer. are you using Windows 7? If so, create a separate administrator account that's password protected, then use your regular, non-admin account to do all your day-to-day tasks like blogging, email, word, excel, etc.

We could definitely use a sarcasm lesson or ten. Not the mean spirited stuff; more wry, dry, ironic.....

I usually stand on the bus anyway. But there have been a few times where I gave up my seat to an older Chinese person (man and woman), and they didn't refuse. But maybe the woman didn't refuse because i'm a guy, and men deferring to women works across almost all cultures. If the other people lost face, they recovered pretty well.

"Spanking with a hand on the backside gets the message across and doesn't cause lasting damage"

The data suggests otherwise:

I guess there's no point in introducing this audience to "true-up" then. But I do such things because its monday morning, and monday is whimsyday.
