great seeing Jenny and John on the boards.  Cpod must be doing a full court press on board/lesson presence this week.

Now, what do to about letting newbies/eles that haven't posted before feel encourged about posting for the first time?

Come on newbies, post! we don't bite.  Or at least I don't.

speaking of football (the American kind), I understand that the New England Patriots (what do you think of that name if you're British? or English?) were playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London last weekend.  That must have been fun to watch. Looked like a packed house in whatever stadium it was. I'm sure there are plenty of Americans in London, but not that many would see the Pats/Bucs.

hellotherebrick, when I thought of the idea, I thought it was witty, topical and interesting. I posted it on the Lesson Topic Suggestions thread.  A few hours of sleep later, my suggestion seems tired, lame and "who cares".  I still liked your story. and thanks for the translation. I was scratching my head over 'Widontav ooligunsere".

hey Sebire, I can understand the need to correct those of us who are governed without the benefit of a governor-general, but I thought it was interesting that the the other British subjects were happy (?) throwing around "British Accent". Not sure what to make of that.......

FWIW, John, my "algorithm" was searching for the "theme" of the lesson, which I decided was the Seasons/autumn and the approaching cool weather.  I was thinking that cpod could have a third, super search term (i guess here you get into metadata).  I'm not sure how consistently across all the lessons that would work.

CPOD has plenty of food, city, travel, stores, sex (PG-13) and business lessons at all levels, so they would be good metadata terms, but the much tastier, much more fun lessons like the Star Trek lesson or the Formula 1 lesson tend to be orphans. They also tend to be dependent on where cpod plans on taking future lessons.  With Star Trek, it would make sense to put that in a "space" category, until cpod comes out the the lesson based on Ender's Game, then you'd need a science fiction term. Formula 1 is ok to put under "sports", until you guys finally come out the the NASCAR lesson, then "racing" makes more sense.
