I've been in to a hospital in Taipei. The hospital was well organized ,clean but busy, the only thing that got me was when the took my blood, I didn't go in to a room, there was a half round desk in front of the waiting area and you took a number and when that number came up you went to the desk and you sat down and then and there they take your blood. Also the excellent English "Please draw a number" made my day.

A nice little lesson, I like it when the language is repeated such as 喜歡 Xi3huan. and 吃chi1, 肉rou4.

Makes for a really nice newbie lesson.

Also like the listening and writing part of the exercises!

Johns is right, there is even a lesson on Bu.

http://chinesepod.com/lessons/tone-rule-changes-for-bu

So hopefully the lesson will help will the confusion, there are other rules for tones. like two or three 3rd tones together, two fourth tones, etc. there are lessons about this, and sometimes it's discussed in the lessons, It's just one of the cool quirky things that Mandarin likes to confuse the newbie learner with!

This is a great lesson, it's great that I know half of it! I love the acting, it's so good, really made me laugh.

Joe, even though saying you Hep B would get you out of drinking alcohol, dont forget that it is quite a serious disease, that is passed through blood and bodyly fuilds, so you may ailenate people, it's not something you want to have.

In a BBC programme about China/ China's schools, a little kid from a rural area was tested for Hep B (all the new intakes were, this was a sponsored school where the kids boarded) the little kid had the virus and was sent back home because of the chance it could affect the other kids.

Plus I would have thought that you would have been vaccinated against Hep B for China, I'm going to Taiwan soon and I'm in the process of been vaccinated for Hep A + Hep B (just need to have a few more injections)

There must be something else that can be said instead.

Yeah, I've heard the 煩死我了 it's in another lesson, can't remember the title, but someone was signing along to music and the other person told then to stop. There are a few more 死 in the expansion, I love the way the Chinese is soo direct sometimes.
