May 9, 2008 at 10:19 AMI love Chinglish!!!! My Taiwanese friend sends me cute note books from Taiwan. They tend to have Koren writing all over them and Chinglish, Nice to hear, Clay and Amber talk with each other rather than giving verbal blows.

May 5, 2008 at 10:17 AMI love this lesson, Yes it's crazy, I love the mp3 very funny. what's with the air raid siren??? But I think the dialog is super useful. Can we have more crazy lessons in newbie, elementary? This is way better than the ninja lesson.

May 4, 2008 at 4:25 PMAfter going through the lesson again, I notice that one of the sentences has: 我的名字 then the name, while Amber you give 我的名字是, I understand having 是 in 我的名字不是 (as) my name not to be... so does that 是 need to be there in the 我的名字是. And can you say, 我不叫... (I not to be called) or do you have to stick to 我的名字不是 format.

May 3, 2008 at 12:09 PMIt seems to me that 叫 and 明子 are some what interchangeable? like 我的叫鄭安雪 我的名字鄭安雪 or 他的叫李東 他的名字李東。 are these right??? 他是李東 我是安雪 do you need the 的 (我叫...)???/

May 12, 2008 at 9:54 PMI've just added the Traditional Firefox add-on. Very nice. No long having to guess the simplified characters. Which was i little fun and I was learning them too. Going to miss that. But now I find out that ChinesePod are just as bad with their numbers as me. On the expansion, at the bottom, there is 三 with the pop up has the pinyin wu3. (Five-star hotels are too expensive. Let's stay in a three-star hotel.) Hope the earthquake hasn't affected you much, very scary time in China.
