April 22, 2015 at 2:18 PMHi dominic124! That sentence can indeed be used to describe the present. But, technically, there is no 'tense' in Chinese. (I'm not a native speaker, but I'm pretty confident that this is correct.) There are some previous lessons where Jenny Zhu and John Pasden discuss the difference between 'tense' and 'aspect', but unfortunately I can't remember which ones!

May 28, 2015 at 11:30 AMOr you could say: 我刚喂完奶 means "I just finished breast feeding the baby", while 我才刚喂完奶 could be translated as "I just finished breast feeding the baby!" The italics and exclamation mark capture the strength of feeling expressed by placing 才 before 刚.
