February 16, 2015 at 5:16 PM我也喜欢科幻片。(wǒ yě xǐhuān kēhuànpiàn) 最喜欢!(zuì xǐhuān)
...Maybe also an elementary (or intermediate) lesson(s) on other genres? Comedy, fantasy, thriller, mystery, animation, documentary... etc. I have no doubt you've already thought about this. It must have been tough selecting only three for a Newbie lesson!
Thanks also for the extra info (like the 'pianr' pronunciation). Very helpful for real life variations that so often cause confusion!

February 15, 2015 at 2:42 PM用同音字和谐音字来开玩笑挺好玩。一般来说关于春节的课太简单、太容易,太无聊了。这堂关于这种比较复杂的语言现象的课却很有用而非常有意思。

February 10, 2015 at 9:02 PMYes. Seems a bit bonkers to me forcing everyone to drink regardless of whether they want to or not! What if you're exhausted and all you really want is a strong cup of coffee? On a more serious note, it makes me wonder how an alcoholic would survive in Chinese business culture! I guess, not for long. Unless they use this excuse. "真的不能喝。会起酒疹!"

February 8, 2015 at 10:54 PM哈哈!你的意思是说我应该给侄儿侄女发“圣诞节红包”吗?好主意!

February 7, 2015 at 1:29 PM发红包的头疼跟送圣诞节礼物的头疼差不多呢?也许送礼物的问题比较难,因为应该选择具体的礼物。我总是关心:费那么多时间,那么多钱,而孩子们不喜欢所买的东西!那怎么办?

February 4, 2015 at 6:39 PMGreat lesson! 文化问题非常有意思,喝酒词汇也很有用。 But I can't help finding 千杯不醉 to be a strange compliment here. I would feel uncomfortable telling my boss that everyone knows she (or he) can guzzle it back without getting drunk!

February 1, 2015 at 1:40 PM你没有‘小确幸’的态度吧。这堂课就是‘小确幸’!
But I do agree that the delivery of the dialogue was a little too dry. It didn't sound natural and so was hard to follow.

I'm convinced I hear both speakers in the dialogue pronounce 尾巴 (wěiba, "tail") as 'yǐba'! Is this a variation in pronunciation, or am I hearing things? Does anyone else hear 'yǐba'?
