September 14, 2009 at 10:30 PMactually I wrote some pretty horrendous shit in japanese but I don't know how the hell anyone at cpod would understand because it was some hardcore slang...oh well, zhenlijiang must've told on me...

September 14, 2009 at 4:47 AMHi, a question if I may...
in this sentence...
Put it under his legs for the blood to circulate upwards.
why is there 静脉 in this sentence? 静脉 means vein if I am not mistaken...
这样可以帮助血回流....could you just say it like this?
and why is there a 静脉 instead of 动脉?
please explain!
thank you!

September 14, 2009 at 3:15 AMHi all,
yet another question...regarding the below sentence, and the word 情趣, I am really struggling to grasp the meaning...in my dictionary it has it translated as 1) disposition and taste, ad 2)good taste, appeal
You've always thought I was too simple and nice-- boring! I know that.)
so would a more literal translation of the cpod dialogue be something like: You always were annoyed that I was too nice, and had no appeal.
???
how else is this word used?
thank you!

September 13, 2009 at 11:30 PMIn this sentence,
is there any difference between 居然 and 竟然? Are the two words completely interchangeable?
Cheers
