In the lesson it translates 我去换登机牌 as I'll go check in。。。I was wondering if there are other expressions one could use to express the same thing。。。for example。。我去办登机手续。。?or 办登机牌?

thanks!

Also, could somebody PLEASE explain the difference between 保证 and 保障?

or please point me to somewhere where this has already been discussed?

谢谢!

Hi all, I have a question regarding the use of the word

缴纳(jiao3na4)。。。交纳 (jiao1na4) also is in my dictionary and it gives pretty much identical definitions...are they used interchangeably?

这个险种每个月缴纳保费

Thanks!

Pete that was great!  thank you very much for that particularly helpful insight!

Also, could you please help me clarify the difference between 趋势 and 走势。。。

the general difference between the two words and also particularly when talking about trends in stocks or currencies etc...

many thanks!

HI, I have a question regarding the last sentence of this dialogue.

而且同比增长也是最快

tong2bi3 is translated by Cpod as compared with last year...however, nowhere does it say last year...also, tong2bi3 does not appear to be in the 3 dictionaries I have.  'Same compare' seems to be the literal translation, but I'm struggling to grasp how this word works...

Please advise!

Thank you

Hi all,

Just signed up for my free account...cpod really looks like a lot of fun!

I was just wondering, how would I say: Is there anything you would like me to bring you from Manila/XYZ location?

Thanks a lot
