October 1, 2013 at 8:04 PMI don't have smartphone, that's why I use paper and pen ! ;-) I've seen that Pleco is an app. This is certainly something you could try. (Actually, with all of you guys talking about Iphones and Android and so on, I wonder if I wouldn't better buy a smartphone, just to use learning Chinese apps...)

September 29, 2013 at 11:40 AMYes, mate, that's what I did when I started to learn Chinese. Well, not a whole page, there's no need to write so many times the same character. It's certainly not the only way, but it was quite effective. There are 214 radicals.

September 29, 2013 at 9:21 AMWell, I study in the ancient way: paper and pen. But I think that Chinesepod tools (Flashcards) can be useful. And I'm sure that other poddies know many useful programs.

September 29, 2013 at 7:09 AMI do agree with Tysond. It's necessary to study regularly. Even Chinese people need to practice regularly. But I know that, with radicals, the more you learn characters the more it will be easy to learn them because you will make links between them. 加油,朋友 !

September 15, 2013 at 8:22 PMSusana, I have not listened to the lesson, but I was curious about two things in your comment :
1. What is a Biguiyuan apartment ?
2. I thought (I should say 我以为) that foreign people could not buy appartments in China. Is it simple to buy one when you're a 老外 ? Do many foreign people working in China buy appartments or houses ?

October 6, 2013 at 8:14 AMWhen I try to find how to say celebrities'names in Chinese, I usually go on Wikipedia and go to see the page in Chinese, but I don't know if it's really a good way. I've never checked it. This is what I've found for Novak Djokovic:
諾瓦克·喬科維奇
Nuòwǎkè Qiáokēwéiqí
Check if you can with Chinese friends.
