January 5, 2014 at 5:48 PMAre you sure for 离 ? I think that this character can't be used alone. 在 zài is a coverb too.

January 5, 2014 at 3:24 PMCool, I did not know if this word "coverb" existed in English.

January 4, 2014 at 3:29 PMHello ! Yes, 給 can be a verb, but here it's not, it's a preposition. 給 + someone + verb (verb for someone). For example:
给他打电话 gěi tā dǎ diànhuà (call him),
给我父母写信 gěi wǒ fùmǔ xiěxìn (write to my parents).
Hope it helps (and that, if I'm wrong, someone will correct).

December 16, 2013 at 5:27 AMRecently we had a lesson about blackmail, now this one about hackers... I wonder, CPod team, did something like this happen to one of you ? Kind of catharsis ? ;-)

December 14, 2013 at 5:57 AMGreat lesson !!!! I really enjoyed this lesson. But I would say that a woman who can fix a broken light herself is not a 男子汉: she's just a single woman ! :-)

January 6, 2014 at 5:39 PMYes, Podster, I agree for 离 as a preposition, but as a verb, can it stand alone ? Is it a coverb ?
