Hello ! 马 seems quite easy to introduce (see Fiona's answer above). For your name, even if I'm not a specialist, I would say: 苏州 Sūzhōu 的 Sū, 珊瑚 shānhú (coral) 的 shān。

Thank you for your reply, Cjcastor, and don't be sorry. I'm quite familiar with 的, but the 呢 in this lesson is really not clear for me. Anyway, I'll follow your piece of advice and learn the pattern and the sentences here. Thanks again !

Thanks, Gwilym, good to know. The first one works perfectly well on my laptop screen so it's fine for me. I was just wondering what it was.

I've not studied this quite rich and difficult lesson but I've got a question about the format. There are two videos and another thing above. What is this thing with slideshow ? How does it work ?

So, in a way, it is like 的 "de" ? It's not really clear for me. Do you have more explanations ? The more I learn, the less I know... Thank you for the answer, anyway !

I've got a question (sorry if you've told in the lesson): what does 呢 imply at the end of these sentences:
比火车快两倍多呢。
Bǐ huǒchē kuài liǎngbèi duō ne.
这是平均速度,最高速度是每小时三百多公里呢。
Zhè shì píngjūn sùdù, zuì gāo sùdù shì měixiǎoshí sānbǎi duō gōnglǐ ne.

The Grandmaster, by Wong Kar-Wai, inspired by Ip Man's life (before he became Bruce Lee's master). It's both in Mandarin and Cantonese. I've never understood how they can understand each other, by the way. I like this movie. Beautiful pictures. Martial arts drama.

How can I say in Chinese that Gwilym (or his character) is "difficult" (because he doesn't want / like anything) ?
