Hi Shishiwen. I'm not sure of that but maybe that 为 is more written than spoken in this case. And "给 someone 买 something" seems to be a pattern (the same with the verb "offer"). But maybe I'm wrong, I think that someone else can answer your question for sure.

I could not see the video but the text just behind was explicit and interesting enough. I'm not an economist and don't know what to think about it but I'm not sure I would like to live in a big new city somewhere in the desert...

I don't like to see anyone ignored too...

I did not study this lesson yet. Too much new vocabulary, I will study slowly...

Great lesson ! 我非常喜欢 potential complements. 汉语是一个很丰富的语言.可是有时候把这种句子翻译成英语或者法语真不容易啊 !

Very interesting lesson ! I love songs and it's very related to Chinese culture. I've got a little question. At 10'10 on the lesson,John says to Dilu:

- 你 现在 还 很 年轻.

Does Dilu reply: "我 是 着" ? I'm still (young) ?

I'm not sure of that.
