I would love love love some beginner Taiwanese lessons. I get that it's ridiculously difficult, but just to get a taste of it would be awesome. I could seriously impress some people with a little bit of Taiwanese in a way that tons of Mandarin just won't do. lol

During a difficult period in my life I had the unexpected blessing of being taken in by a Chinese family from Taiwan.

I lived with them for nine months while I put my life back together.  During that time I only managed to pick up a couple dozen nouns, but I fell in love with the language and the culture and most importantly with the people.

Since that time they have truly become family to me and I am learning the language as a way to honor them.
