January 6, 2013 at 4:22 AMI'm pretty much a 20% tipper on meals and $1 a drink tipper at bars. Some people say in restaurants in the states that you can tip before wine/tax, ie 20% of (total - these expenses), but I don't know how that voodoo really works. And if you leave no tip I believe you will be strongly resented in most cases.
