For the 有 a, 有 b, 还有 c (yǒu a, yǒu b, háiyǒu c) pattern, can you use another verb instead of 有?If so, do you still use 还有 before the "c"?

Turning point was definitely when 张亮 said "挑来挑去,结果什么也不买."

Is there a rule or some kind of guideline about leaving words out? Or is it something that comes from practice and listening to other people do it? Should I be safe and just say everything? It's still a little weird for me, and I guess I'm looking for reassurance that I'm not as bad as I think....

Thanks!

肉麻 here is translated as "disgusting." But could it mean something closer to cheesy or corny?

And the word 陪,used for accompanying, but in the sense that I would go to the mall with my g/f even though I don't like shopping....?

Thanks!

Brilliant explanation of 一下 (yīxià). I had always somewhat understood it in the other lessons. But with this one, it was like, "Aha!" Thanks for the great lesson.

I also heard it snowed in Shanghai. I even saw pictures on FB.

First Intermediate lesson with Dilu!!! Thank you both!!!

Am I the only one to sense a bit of romance in the dialogue? Maybe it's the music in the background...

Since I'm from Florida, the first time I saw snow was last year, and I was surprised that it wasn't that cold. And there was that small "clink" sound when the snow landed on the ground. Really fascinating. Of course the real fun begins when the shovels come out and you have to dig your car out....

Nice show. Brings back some memories......Thanks John for the breakdown. It's my first Intermediate Lesson, and you guys weren't kidding about the more Chinese...

About warming and cooling foods, really complicated stuff. I've heard grapes are cooling, but apples are warming. So you can't even break it down by food group.

Going to China was one of the most life altering experiences for me. It really opened my world up. China is just incredible. I love China. But, USA is home...except I don't like the food here in the US as much anymore. How I miss steamed pork buns......and vegetables....so much better in China.

"Sunny Florida" should now be "Way colder than ever Florida." It's going to be in the 20's tonight. What's going on?

Miami从来没有下雪。(Miami cónglái méiyǒu xiàxuě).

It never snows in Miami. I'm 27 and only saw snow for the first time last winter in 扭约 (niǔyuē New York). Can you believe that?
