Got a question

What is the most basic way to say 'middleman'?

www.nciku.com lists these possibilities:

They said 玩儿. Same meaning. It's like saying can't but writing cannot.

Actually, I'm pretty sure no measure word is needed, as I have seen 这 only followed by a stative verb such as 是 and 有 before. I think it is fine as is. Perhaps a native could confirm, though.

You can go to dict.cn as well, but actually, I consider it my second choice next to nciku.

I don't know. I'm certain that soccer is far more popular than baseball in China. Therefore, since China is by far the most populated country in East Asia, East Asia has not chosen baseball. At any rate, it seems that soccer fans have a much larger reputation for fans going absolutely crazy than any other sport, so to say that it merely pleases everyone but isn't extraordinary seems just like your opinion, but not an opinion shared by Europe, South America, Mexico and China + a bunch of other places. Personally, I wouldn't choose soccer to be first, but then again, I would place baseball near the bottom.
