I sometimes find it difficult to tell the difference between a Canadian and an American, and I am an American! Accents do vary, especially in America, but I doubt Canadians sound much like Aussies.

Haha, that reminds me of something I was taught when I was a little kid. My teacher told us how to distinguish principal and principle. The leader of the school is our pal, thus princi'pal'. You probably said headmaster as a kid, but anyway...

By the way, there is an etymological source for Chinese on the net. It's called 'Changye'.

I wonder if I will even bother going to check it out. I'm kind of excited to be in Shanghai for this in the sense that it is sort of a milestone for China (or so it is billed), but boy am I not looking forward to the traffic tie ups that will result from this.
