this is a very good qingwen. I suggest to mention some Chinese idioms while teaching these keywords 

just like the word "当初"  then you can introduce us the idiom "悔不当初" ( someone regrets to do something)

I think it would be very helpful for idioms learning.

Wow, I like this podcast very much! and I think "货" means some kind of person, right?

like "吃货" ( the person who likes to eat)  "贱货" ( the bitches)

and I think you made a mistake about "搞基" I checked on the internet it says "搞基"  means "the sexual relationship between 2 men"  instead

of "very close male friends"

Thanks for this lesson, I think there is still one situation that didn't be mentioned:

when “倒是” used in a rhetorical question sentence:

eg: 你倒是说啊?   why don't you speak?

Thanks for this lesson, so let me make a conclusion:

其实 can only use as an adverb 

实际  can use as an adjective and adverb (实际上)

事实 it is used as a noun.

Thanks for this lesson, you didn't mention that "而" has another way to use it, which is “而且." it always use together with "不但" 

eg: 他不但高而且帅 (he is not only tall but also handsome .)

Thanks for this lesson, I am very interested in that story that was told in this lesson. 

I made a calculation about how much is 300 taels:

since 500 grams equals a jin, so 300g equals 6 taels. 

then 1 tael equals 50 g, so 300 taels equal 15,000g 

that is to say, 300 taels equal 15kg. (30jin)

I don't agree that Connie said white color represents death since I see many people wear a white hat or a  white sweater in China.

on the other hand, people even told me that white is a symbol of a pure spirit. As long as you don't wear a green hat you can wear anything

color you want in China.

Thanks for this great lesson, I think "看" sometimes can interchange with "根据...来定" ( it will be decided according to ...)

eg:  看天气再说 = 根据天气再决定   （it is depended on the weather)

       看心情=根据心情再决定 (it is depended on the mood)

       看情况=根据情况再决定( it is depended on the situation)

       看时间=根据时间再决定(it is depended on the time)
