Thanks for this lesson! but I think this lesson is quite hard, here are some notes after I learned this lesson:

“辞去+(job title )....一职”: (someone) quit (some) job 

"留任”：留下来继续任职（remain in office)

“分析人士”：分析界的专业人员。（analyst)

"跨太平洋伙伴关系协定"（Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement）:是目前重要的国际多边经济谈判组织，前身是跨太平洋战略经济伙伴关系协定（Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement，p4)

maybe it would be better to say "他把人打了”？ it is because in Chinese you change your perspective in some situations.
