When Nu Wa saw humanity experiencing such great catastrophe, she was very worried. She took a large stone to her side and flew up to the sky to try to patch up the hole, but the stone just fell out when she tried.

Nu Wa was extremely happy. One after another she molded dozens of the little objects. She also gave them a very interesting name: "people."

Seeing the success of her new method, Nu Wa became more elated as sprinkled more mud upon the ground. In a short while the whole earth was covered with people.

zhèxiē nánnánnǚnǚ wéi zhe Nǚwā tiàoyuè huānhū ，gěi dàdì dàilái le shēngjī 。nánnánnǚnǚ yòu hùxiāng pèihé ，shēng ér yù nǚ ，shǐ rénlèi nénggòu búduàn de fányǎn xiàqu 。
These men and women surrounded Nu Wa cheering and jumping, bringing vitality to the earth. The men and women worked together and bore and raised children, ensuring that humanity would continue to multiply and thrive.
