Here I represent the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the National People's Congress, the State Council, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the Central Military Commission, in paying the highest respects to all the veterans, the old comrades, patriots and the military officers who took part in the war against the Japanese, as well as to the sons and daughters of China here at home and overseas who made a big contribution to the victory in the Chinese People’s War Against Japanese Aggression! And to express sincere thanks to the foreign governments and international friends who supported or assisted the Chinese people in resisting the invasion!
