As Henley's poem states, "Under the bludgeonings of chance, My head is bloody, but unbowed." As William Wordsworth's poem states, "To me the meanest flower that blows can give, Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears." A complete life should include the ultimate realization of both these conceptual realms.
