May 12, 2019 at 4:10 PMI have a question about the logic of this sentence:
前些年这家生意一直不景气,差点倒闭,可最近老字号又重新开张啦。
So was this book store actually closed or not? If it is reopened (重新开张), then it must have been closed. If it is almost closed or almost bankrupted (差点倒闭), as Peony explained 倒闭=关门, then it can not be reopened because it is open all the time.

May 12, 2019 at 2:35 PMIn between 7:30 to 8:00, the English subtitles have some mistake. 我在吃饭呢 and 我在工作呢 are still annotated as 'I'm having a meeting' in English. Also at 10:28, the English of 吃完饭 should be 'finished eating' or 'done eating', rather than 'to eat'. Please check.

May 11, 2019 at 10:08 AMWhen Constance pronounces 阿姨 and 叔叔 the first time in the video, they sound like ǎyí and shǔshu, rather than āyí and shūshu as denoted in the subtitle. Which way is correct?

May 14, 2019 at 7:45 AMI am glad you discussed about 油腻 in this video. I've heard 油腻 often in combination with middle-aged man to say that someone has lost their body shape, has a retreated hairline and often shows off their (made up) experiences in life and business in front of young girls to get their attention.
