August 4, 2019 at 3:46 AMIn 2:41, the pinyin for “时候” (shi 2 hou 5) isn’t “shi 2 hou 4”.
Posted on: Do you drink hot water? 你今天喝热开水了吗?
August 2, 2019 at 5:25 AMThis topic is quite nice, because many foreigners don’t understand this “Hot-water” culture.
Actually, foreigners don’t drink “凉白开’, they drink unboiled water. “凉白开” refers to cold boiling water. But they don’t boil the water first, so you cant say they drink “凉白开”.
凉开水=cold boiling water, 温开水=warm boiling water, all of them use boiling water. Thanks for your nice video. This is a very good one.

August 2, 2019 at 5:14 AMIn the dialogue, when Jenny asked Ken if he likes his job (你喜欢你的工作吗?), he answers “是的,我很喜欢’. He doesn’t need to answer “是的”, just “我很喜欢” is fine.

August 2, 2019 at 4:48 AM我不了解isnt equal to 我不明白. 我不了解is used when someone ask you “do you know something about this topic?” and you can say, “I don’t know =我不了解”. But “我不明白” is used when someone ask you “do you understand what I am talking about? ”. So these expressions are different. 我不清楚 is also different from both of them. It is used when someone asks you “do you know the way to the nearest toilet? ” and then you can answer “我不清楚” or “我不知道”. So you cant use these three expressions interchangeably.

August 1, 2019 at 5:00 AMIn the dialogue, it would be better if you use 我亲戚会送(better than 给)我……
And I think maybe because the hosts try to make the lesson easier for newbies, the dialogue doesn’t sound this native. Thanks for you lesson.

August 4, 2019 at 4:13 AMJenny pronounced “朋友” (peng 2 you 3) as “pen 2 you 3”.
But some content is casual talk which isn’t related to the content much.
