July 1, 2014 at 1:32 PMI'm not sure of our advanced lesson 入伍当兵 (http://chinesepod.com/lessons/%E5%85%A5%E4%BC%8D%E5%BD%93%E5%85%B5)meets your requirments, but 'military' is still a good topic for future lessons.

July 1, 2014 at 1:24 PMInteresting. I thought it was describing a team flop. Maybe I need to look carefully next time. By the way, do people mostly say 'diving' or 'flop' when describing a soccer player faking a fall on the field. I'm sure 假摔 is the only word for this situation in Chinese.

July 1, 2014 at 7:46 AMGlad you like the show! Now I know how to say your names:)
Synonymous words are always what I interested in, too. I think it will be a long term topic for Qing Wen shows. It's impossible for a foreigner, even for a native speaker to catch many meanings in a short time. So, what I suggest is to let them stream into your mind, bit by bit, and always review them. Please remember to ASK, always ask your teacher, freinds and us.
